Portavi for Asana
Asana portfolio reporting across every project
Portavi’s Asana integration brings every Asana project into one portfolio dashboard for your PMO, with sprints read from the sections, tags or custom fields your teams already use.

How Portavi reads your Asana projects
Nothing to restructure: each project is read the way its team already works.
Sprints from the board you have
A Scrum project takes its sprints from Asana sections, tags or a custom field, whichever your team already uses.
Phases the same way
A Waterfall project takes its phases from sections, tags or a custom field, or you map them by hand in Portavi. Kanban boards are read through their work in progress.
Effort as you estimate it
Progress counts tasks, story points from a custom field you choose, or Asana’s own Estimated time.

What Portavi adds on top
One view of the portfolio
Every project rolls up to on track, at risk or delayed, whether it lives in Asana or another tool you connect.
A full RAID log
Risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies for every project and program, beside the Asana work they concern.
Capacity across tools
Everyone’s open work in one view, including people whose work is split between Asana and another tool.
Portfolio objectives can be written in Portavi, or mirrored from Asana Goals if your workspace uses them. See every feature
Connecting Asana
- A PMO manager selects Connect on Asana in Portavi’s Integrations page.
- Asana asks you to approve access on its own site. Portavi never sees your Asana password.
- Create a project in Portavi, pick the Asana project, and choose how its sprints or phases are marked.
Portavi syncs straight away, then on a schedule you set, as often as hourly within working hours, and whenever you select Resync. It reads up to 1,000 tasks per project.
Questions
- Does Portavi change anything in Asana?
- No. It asks Asana for read-only access and never creates, edits or moves anything there.
- Does everyone on Asana need a Portavi account?
- No. Their work syncs from Asana. Portavi seats are for the people running the work, and executives read for free.
- Can I connect Asana alongside other tools?
- Yes. Starter connects two tools and Growth any number, and every project reports the same way whichever tool it lives in.
